The company won 16 awards in the "Minor Innovations and Improvements Contest" organized by the Metal Industry Union Federation of the City.



In August, after the competition announcement was issued, the company actively encouraged its employees to carefully summarize, distill and submit their small improvements, innovations, inventions and other improvement proposals and cost-saving and efficiency-improving achievements they had achieved on the job, and actively participate in the competition. A total of 90 projects were submitted for the competition in the city, and after the expert judges evaluated them, two first-prize projects, four second-prize projects, ten third-prize projects and 60 excellent-prize projects were selected. Of the 25 projects submitted by the company, 16 won prizes. 

Among them, Li Wei and Zhang Zhongyi from Chromium Metals Company's proposal on "Self-made Mobile Fueling Vehicle" won the first prize; Li Ying from the Materials Testing Center's proposal on "Improving Carbon and Sulfur Analysis Using Higher Purity Oxygen" won the second prize; 14 improvement proposals from Chromium Metals Company, Jixin High-Temperature, Installation and Maintenance Company, Metallurgical Chemical Company, Chromium Metals Company, and the Materials Testing Center received the excellent award. 

The skilled workers are at the front line, and wisdom is at the grassroots level. Small improvements and innovations are important measures to tap the workers' intelligence, improve the economic benefits of the enterprise, and reduce production costs. They are also effective ways to encourage workers to participate in management and embody the spirit of being the master of the enterprise. From optimizing processes to reducing labor intensity, from cost reduction and increased efficiency to improving work efficiency, the seemingly small measures have played a crucial role.
