On September 8, Tian Yile, General Manager of the company, Mu Tong, Manager of the Chromium Metal Company, Zhao Pengda, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Jixin High-Temperature Materials, and Cao Yang, Specialist Engineer at Jixin High-Temperature Materials—along with one other colleague—traveled to Beijing to attend the Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation Conference organized by the Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. The conference invited several renowned domestic experts, as well as representatives from the Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Technical Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, to jointly participate in the review process.
At the meeting, the company team delivered a comprehensive report and provided an in-depth explanation of the achievements made in "Key Technologies for Efficient Comprehensive Utilization of Metallurgical Slag from Metal Chromium Production and Their Industrial Applications," systematically showcasing the project's breakthroughs in technological innovation, engineering applications, as well as its environmental, economic, and social benefits. After multidimensional questioning and evaluation by the expert panel, the project received high recognition, with the final conclusion stating: "The overall technology has reached…" "Internationally leading level."
This project has pioneered a "novel integrated technology combining molten carbothermic reduction with vacuum solid-phase decarbonization," enabling the efficient extraction and complete detoxification of chromium from chromium smelting slag. This breakthrough fundamentally addresses longstanding industry challenges, providing a comprehensive technical solution that paves the way for green and sustainable development in the chromium-smelting sector—while also demonstrating significant potential for widespread adoption and leadership within the industry. Moving forward, the company will continue to expand the application of this technology, contributing actively to the nation's environmental protection efforts and industrial upgrading initiatives.
