Recently, the China National Commerce Association officially announced the results of the 2025 Science and Technology Awards. The “Key Technologies and Applications for Harmless Treatment and High-Value Utilization of High-Temperature Metal Chromium Smelting Slag” project by Jixin High-Temperature Materials stood out for its exceptional performance in multiple aspects—including technological innovation, significant environmental benefits, and outstanding economic returns—and ultimately won the First Prize. This award not only serves as an authoritative recognition of the company’s profound technical expertise and strong innovative capabilities in the field of industrial solid-waste resource utilization, but also highlights its leading position and crucial contributions to driving the industry’s green development.
The project “Harmless Treatment and High-Value Utilization of Metallurgical Slag from Chromium Smelting,” through a series of breakthroughs and innovations in key technologies, has effectively addressed the long-standing challenge of solid waste disposal in the chromium smelting industry. Building on a thorough understanding of traditional methods, the research team boldly innovated and pushed boundaries, successfully developing a comprehensive resource utilization technology system that is entirely independently owned and patented. This technology system enables the efficient recovery and integrated utilization of valuable metals contained in smelting slag. Data show that, thanks to the application of this technology, the overall utilization rate of smelting slag has reached 100%. Not only has this significantly reduced solid waste disposal costs, but it has also brought substantial economic benefits to enterprises. From an environmental perspective, the project annually prevents large volumes of solid waste from occupying land resources and effectively mitigates the risk of heavy metal contamination. As a result, it plays a crucial role in improving regional ecological environment quality and ensuring ecological safety, truly achieving a win-win situation for both economic and environmental benefits.

To effectively safeguard employees’ lives and improve the overall emergency rescue capacity of all staff, the company officially installed Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) on the afternoon of May 15, and jointly launched professional first-aid training with the Third Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University to fully strengthen the workplace safety defense system.
